High above downtown, The Austonian Club on the 55th floor of The Austonian building is one giant WOW!. Floor-to-ceiling windows, sleek interiors, and panoramic city views. It’s the perfect backdrop for a sophisticated afternoon tea party with clients or friends.

There’s lots of different spaces so it’s perfect for social or corporate events. And the caterer’s kitchen is a joy to work in (plus the event team is excellent).

Overall: Pricier than average but totally worth it. Not great if you have a fear of heights!

Large Groups –Ben Hur Shriners Hall

Need space for extended family or a fundraiser crowd? Check out Ben Hur Shriners Hall. With its spacious Ballroom (2500 sq ft), easy access, and plenty of parking, it’s ideal for themed Sweet Sixteens, Quinceañeras or Galas.

There’s a stage for a band and large caterer’s kitchen We held a tea dance here and Cynthia, the Venue Manager went out of her way to help.

Overall: Great value, perfect blank canvas for your creativity.

Al Fresco Vibes –The Sanctuary

A true hidden gem in downtown Austin. Shaded by ancient oak trees, the outdoor space at The Sanctuary is peaceful, picturesque, and perfect for an al fresco tea under the canopy.

There’s a small cottage with a kitchen, a studio and a bridal suite but the grounds are the real draw.

Overall: When you’re sitting among the oaks you won’t believe you’re in the heart of the city. Gorgeous.

Old-World Charm –Caswell House

If you love vintage details, you’ll swoon over Caswell House. This historic Austin mansion has wraparound porches, ornate woodwork, a showcase staircase and period touches that feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Add in our tiered cake stands and bone china, and you’re all set for that Bridgerton tea.

Overall: Historic but without the prissy museum feel. Yes, you can touch the furniture!

Small, Chic Gatherings –ATX Boho Bungalow

This chic boho loft in Northwest Austin is bright and open with a huge outdoor covered patio. It’s perfect for bachelorettes or girlfriend get-togethers for up to 15 guests.

Set in a quiet neighborhood, ATX Boho Bungalow is run by an airbnb super host. Bookings are for a minimum 4 hours making it ideal for afternoon tea.

Overall: A rare find, the kindest host, and you’ll love watching the neighborhood deer stroll down the street!

Best for: Historic Character with Modern Flair –Owen House

The Owen House in Round Rock blends charm with modern amenities in a lovingly restored historic property. With both indoor and outdoor options, it’s a wonderful choice for medium-sized parties of up to 100 guests.

We used the indoor space for a Sweet Sixteen and had tons of room for our flower bar and specialty drinks. In cooler weather the outdoor area is perfect for a garden party among the oaks.

Overall: Immaculate space managed by Isabella, the passionate venue manager.

Light-Filled Contemporary Vibe –Alight Collaborative

If you’re a fan of bright, airy spaces with plenty of natural light, Alight Collaborative is a dream venue.

A Pflugerville studio and event venue, this flexible, modern two-level space gives you a clean canvas to style your tea party any way you like.

Overall: Great owners, beautifully maintained and affordable space. And you’ll LOVE the natural daylight.
