Custom Blend Case Study

For St. David’s Foundation’s we were asked to create a custom tea blend that would reflect the spirit of an event for grantees.

Using responses from our custom blending questionnaire, we built the blend around a naturally caffeine-free honeybush base, with the client drawn to flavors that were citrusy, warming, and smooth, and to a tea that would feel calming, uplifting, grounding and indulgent.

From there, we developed Gather & Glow – a bespoke blend of honeybush, cinnamon, orange peel, cacao shells and vanilla, balancing warmth and richness with a bright citrus lift.

The finished tea was packaged as an individual gift for each attendee, with a custom card explaining the story behind the blend and brewing instructions, creating a keepsake that was designed not just to be enjoyed, but to commemorate the gathering itself.

Can you create a completely custom tea blend?

Yes. We start with your flavor preferences, likes and dislikes, and what you’d like the tea to represent, then create a blend specifically for you using carefully selected teas, herbs, flowers and botanicals. It isn’t an existing tea with a personalized label.

Do I need to know a lot about tea?

No, you don’t need to know whether you want oolong, rooibos or Earl Grey.

All of those are perfectly good places to start. We’ll translate the idea into tea.

Can you make caffeine-free custom tea blends?

Absolutely. We can create caffeinated, naturally caffeine-free or completely herbal blends, and we’ll recommend the best base for your preferred flavors and how you’d like to enjoy your tea.

Can you create custom tea gifts with our company logo?

Yes. We can incorporate your company logo or event branding into the finished packaging. We can also create the tea itself around your brand, company values or event, making it much more personal than simply adding a logo.

Can you make personalized tea favors for weddings and baby showers?

Yes. We can create a signature tea inspired by your flavors, flowers, season or celebration, then package it in individual portions with personalized labels for your guests.

Is there a minimum order / fee for custom tea gifts?

Orders start at 15 pieces, from $12 each, plus a one-time blend development fee (waived on 50+). Final pricing depends on your blend, packaging and level of personalization. Tell us how many gifts you need and your budget per gift, and we’ll recommend the best option.

How far in advance should I order a custom tea blend?

Because every blend is developed specifically for you, we recommend getting in touch at least three weeks in advance. Lead times vary according to ingredients, packaging, personalization and quantity, so let us know your event or gifting date when you enquire.
