Maggie Gallant – also known as The British Woman – grew up in South East England, where multiple cups of P.G. Tips a day were a family ritual. Over time she discovered the wider world of teas and tisanes, sparking a lifelong passion that now flavors every Truly Terrific Tea Co. event.

From PR to Parties

After a 15 year career in PR, corporate communications, and event planning, Maggie moved to Austin, Texas. In 2023 she founded The Truly Terrific Tea Co. to bring authentic British afternoon tea parties and tea experiences to Austin.

Drawing on her hospitality background, Maggie blends creativity, attention to detail, and themed décor with a hand-picked team to produce unforgettable events, from intimate tea parties to large-scale corporate activations.

Maggie believes that tea parties should be joyful, not stuffy. A former stand-up comedian, she infuses her events with humor, storytelling, and a touch of royal family gossip.
